Last week, our staff and parents had the opportunity to attend the Oregon Head Start Association
meeting and meet with Senator Linthicum and Representative E. Werner Reschke.

We sincerely thank Senator Linthicum and Representative Reschke for taking time out of their
busy schedules to meet with us. During our visit, we shared how Head Start programs positively
impact children, families, staff, and the broader community. Head Start provides comprehensive
early childhood education, school readiness preparation, health and developmental screenings,
nutritious meals, family engagement opportunities, and connections to vital community
resources. These services help ensure that children enter kindergarten ready to succeed while
supporting the overall well-being and stability of families.

We are grateful to Representative Reschke for the informative and thoughtful tour, which made
our visit even more meaningful.

We appreciate the opportunity to advocate for the important work of Head Start and the families
we serve.
