Governance Board
The Governance Board works alongside our management staff and Policy Council to guide the growth and operations of our Klamath Family Head Start programs. Our Board is comprised of parents, community members and Head Start leaders, who work together to ensure legal and fiduciary responsibility. We strive to establish a healthy learning environment that supports children, families, community and staff.
Duties of the Governance Board include:
- Establishing procedures for recruitment and enrollment
- Reviewing applications and amendments
- Setting an operating budget
- Approving major expenditures
- Compiling written standards of conduct
- Reviewing and approving major policies and procedures
- Providing leadership and strategic direction for Head Start programs
